Hi folks,

As you may recall, we selected the Calamanis villa for our visit in Oct.   We are very excited about staying here, but I have a small issue or problem.

After emailing back and forth with Phil (owner) several times, he provided me with the contact and payment method.  So, we followed his instructions and I sent an email to him almost 2 weeks ago.

Since paying, I have not heard back from him including a simply acknowledgment that the payment was received properly.

Do you think I should "worry" yet or give it more time?  I know they are in the UK, but maybe his Nevis person (Amelia) can help me?

Thanks!

Don't worry.  Shoot him an e-mail asking if he received payment.   If he doesn't answer in a few days, I'd give him a call (although I can't remember if their phone number is listed on the contract).  If the number isn't listed on the contract, I have Amelia's cell phone number and would be more than happy to connect you two.   Grin

I figured I didn't need to worry, but just wanted to check.

Thanks!

I just got back from a two night stay at Villa Calamansi.  It is a lovely villa with three large bedrooms.  Two of the bedrooms have a queen size bed and a private bath. The third bedroom has a set of twin beds and the bathroom is next door. The kitchen is fully equipped and very spacious with a lovely glass dining table and four cushioned chairs.  A gas grill on the back deck is available for barbecues. The living room area is also very spacious and has a large flat screen TV and wi-fi internet service. There is a screened in porch with a table and chairs for dining outside, but protected from mosquitoes.  Actually, we found that there were very few flying insects due to the constant breeze. The pool is right off the porch and I certainly enjoyed a morning and afternoon dip. The villa is located fairly high up the side of the hill and offers a spectacular view of St. Kitts and the Atlantic.  It is so peaceful and lovely.  It is only a five minute (if that) drive to Nisbet Plantation where we spent a morning at the beach. All beaches are public, so renters of the villa are able to use the beach at Nisbet.  Also near by is Herbert's Beach and not far in the other direction is Lover's Beach.

I highly recommend Calamansi Villa to anyone staying on Nevis. It is well maintained, clean, nicely furnished and offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful island of Nevis in their own private villa with exceptional views.

Re Kegoangoango's post about difficulty contacting us - unfortunately we did not receive the email notifying us that the booking was to proceed and the money had been paid.  As soon as we got the next email with that info we acknowledged the booking and payment.  We always respond quickly to any emails received and are also always available by phone - even when away - and our phone numbers are available both on the website and the contract.  If anyone ever has a problem contacting us via email please always phone us or contact Amelia Chiverton, our agent (mobile +1869 6649474 or email  chevvis@yahoo.com).

Let me add a note to Sue and Phil's.  Neither of us have any idea where the "wormhole" was in the email loops, but there definitely was a problem.

Once that wormhole disappeared and our emails were getting back-and-forth to each other, Sue and Phil continued to be as informing and helpful as prior to the wormhole.  They are very good people with which to work and we are very excited to have found the villa.

It's only 7 more months!  Grin
