Definitely a rum junkie, but I don't get real fancy.

Start with the basic rum punch
For the punch:
Equal parts orange juice and pinapple juice and a small splash of strawberry syrup.
Put ice in glass, add about 2 oz of rum.  (I prefer Belmont Gold or Appleton), add the punch and top with a splash of bitters, stir

You can't go wrong with this, but you can try to improve on it.  Add a little vanilla rum and/or coconut rum and/or mango rum and/or coffee rum and/or lime rum.

In my 2 years of experimenting with all the combinations, I've found the coconut or the mango or the coffee plus vanilla combo work the best.  But you really need to try all of the combinations to be sure.  I would not advise trying all the combinations in one night.

I believe that I deserve some sort of award for mass introduction of Brinley Gold to friends and family!

At our wedding the favours consisted of a Fancy English Teabags and Chocolates, a little bottle of Ms. Greaux's hotsauce and mini bottles of Brinley Mango, Coffee or Vanilla.  I cannot count the amount of times I had to take guests into town after the wedding for them to stock up on bottles to take home with them!

I'm actually soaking in all your good info on account of Brinley Rum. We took a cruise last winter, and experienced St Kitts for one short day. We fell in love with the island, the people, and Brinley rum. Later in the year, Brinley Rum had an online drink recipe contest. I entered and won! The grand prize was a trip to St Kitts. So next Tuesday we leave for the place you all call paradise! I am so very excited to see St Kitts once again.  And I want to say "Thank You" for all your great reviews, advice, photos, and shared experiences.  I feel way more informed before our trip this time than last year!

Zach Brinley and the Brinley Family is amazing!  Thank you Brinley!!!! Grin

I was a huge Rum head in my day.  Brinley was of course one of my to go to labels.  I hope you all have tried the Brinley Island Reserve?  Kittian's answer to Captain Morgan?  Its a spiced Rum.  Bannana, vanilla, nutmeg ....Damn!  I used to serve it in warm apple cider and sit out in the cool fall night air ... yep ... those days have been left behind.  You gatta try the Reserve.

Spiced rum in apple cider is the best!  Got me thinking of crisp all nights with a nice mug of a mulled cider with spiced rum!

What a coincidence! I was just looking in my drinks cabinet (don't judge, it's late afternoon here in the UK) and poured myself a Brinleys Mango (with a splash of spiced rum) and Lilt (do you have Lilt? It's like Ting). And the reason I poured Mango and only a splash of spiced is because THAT'S ALL THAT'S LEFT! Um...just under 9 weeks to go. Might run out.  Wink
